Overview
This article will provide information on how to turn off shipping notifications that are sent via Shopify to its customers. The purpose of turning off these notifications is to avoid sending them twice as Rush performs that job via its smart notifications, Omnisend or Klaviyo. Therefore, before enabling its integration with the above mentioned apps, make sure to disable shipping notifications in Shopify.
Step-by-step guide
For easier and better understanding, the steps to follow have been divided into two sections.
Disable abandoned checkout notifications email
- Login to Shopify admin and click on Settings located in the bottom left corner in the navigation sidebar.
- From the navigation sidebar to the left, select Checkout.
- Scroll down to the Abandoned checkouts section and uncheck Send abandoned checkout emails automatically
- Hit the Save button located at the top right corner of the screen.

Disable shipping and delivery notification emails
- Login to Shopify admin and click on Settings located in the bottom left corner in the navigation sidebar.
- From the navigation sidebar to the left, select Checkout.

Scroll down to the Order processing section.
- Select Don’t fulfill any of the order’s line items automatically.
- From the navigation sidebar to the left, select Notifications.
- Scroll down to the Shipping section and uncheck the boxes next to Out for delivery and Delivered options.

If you are utilizing local delivery, uncheck all of the delivery email options within the section shown below:
The standard Shopify notifications will now be disabled.
